بان كي مون سيتوجه إلى الشرق الأوسط قبل مشاركته في القمة العربية في سرت
أعلن الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة بان كي مون، يوم أمس الإثنين 08-03-2010، أنه سيشارك في قمة الجامعة العربية في سرت بليبيا في 27 مارس الجاري، وسيزور قبل ذلك بعض دول الشرق الأوسط على أمل المساعدة في إحياء مفاوضات السلام بين الفلسطينيين والاسرائيليين.

وقال بان كي مون، الذي سيشارك أيضا في اجتماع للجنة الرباعية الدولية حول الشرق الأوسط في موسكو في 19 مارس الجاري، أمام الصحافيين أن الاجتماع سيكون "فرصة جيدة جدا لأعضاء الرباعية (الولايات المتحدة، روسيا، الأمم المتحدة والاتحاد الأوروبي) للتقييم وللتشجيع على إجراء محادثات غير مباشرة بأسرع وقت ممكن" بين إسرائيل والفلسطينيين.

وأضاف أنه سيحضر بعد اجتماع موسكو لزيارات إلى دول عدة في المنطقة بدون أن يحددها. وقال "اعتزم زيارة بعض دول المنطقة (...) بغية الالتزام شخصيا وتسهيل عملية السلام".

وسيتوجه الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة بعد ذلك إلى سرت للمشاركة في قمة الجامعة العربية. وأوضح "هناك سأبدأ محادثات ثنائية أو متعددة الأطراف مع قادة عرب لكي نتمكن معا ومع كافة الأطراف المعنية من تشجيع عملية السلام".
